Two tips to help YOU LAST LONGER for auditions

A while back I was headed to an audition for KOHLER. Big time company. Even bigger opportunity to add some street cred in the world of acting. Here’s the kicker though, they wanted a dog owner or dog lover to jump in and nail the audition.

Easy right? Nope. Hundreds show up, but only one can be crowned champion.

After thinking about how to attack the audition in front of the actual client and ad agency, it only made sense to shift gears a bit and bring the improvised humor that I carry in my back pocket. Fortunately, after wrestling a fake dog in a tub, I got the gig and several hour dog shampoo session. Now, don’t go wild and think every audition needs to be done in this manner. As a matter of fact, here are a few key things I think about when I head into the audition room.

Here is the actual cut for the commercial. Me and Siskyou at the KOHLER headquarters having a blast. He was fed nearly a full pound of fake bacon and love.
